introduction
A practitioner in photo-historical processes and academic, Azril’s work has been exploratory in which he is referred to as a Practising Archeologist in this area.
He has been a practitioner and continuing student of the early arts of 19th Century Photographic Processes since 2012, particularly on the daguerreotype, the wet plate Collodion process; and the appropriated salt, albumen, and platinum printing.
Dr. K. Azril Ismail holds a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Plymouth, U.K., for his visual photographic studies of Pudu Jail's graffiti. At present, his works had finally had began to push towards unexpected convergence of the two fields which further motivated to pursue the craft.
